“We have been part of the Step Ahead Dance Studio since they opened in the Garner/Clayton area 6 years ago. As a parent who has studied ballet for 9 years, myself, I am more than impressed with the level of professionalism, training and wonderful choreography skills of the all the teachers. Our two girls have grown so much in their dancing ability in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical and HipHop. Additionally, Ms. Kim and Ms. Ashley, along with the other teachers, not only teach dance but self confidence and good character traits. Special aspects about the studio include: classes are kept small so individual attention can be given, wonderful theme based recitals, yearly Daddy Dance (steals the show) and family oriented. “Our family has been a member of the Step Ahead Dance Studio for almost 5 years. I have the unique opportunity to view the studio from the perspective of both the mom of a student and as an adult student. As a mom, I could not be happier with the level of expertise and dedication that the teachers show towards the students. The teachers inspire and draw out the best potential in each student. They take the time to work with the child and work with the parent to make sure the child is getting the most out of their dance experience. Not all students aspire to be the next great dancer but the studio treats all the students with the same level of respect. As an adult student, I really appreciate the way the studio is so accommodating to my needs. As adults we all know that outside commitments can get in the way and dance class moves to the bottom of the list, but the teachers and staff are always willing to work with me. They make the adult classes challenging and fun so the adults enjoy coming to dance every week.
The studio offers a wide range of choices for all levels of dancers. The teachers are both educated and show a love and appreciation for dance that spills over into teaching the students. I know that my child really enjoys spending time both in and out of class with the teachers.
